Bath Night is Also a Battle

Notice the amount of time and attention this child pays to Hair and general Appearance. That would be: zero.

I do like her glasses.

But the child is a celebrity and she is on TV and she is a genuine character with all her eccentricities. Everything will be forgiven her.

I think we have the same hair stylist.

Oh, totally--it's out of her face, and it's totally the style of all ten year olds everywhere. Also some college professors.

She's articulate, gorgeous, and talented. So her hair's a little funky. So what? :-D

You must be bursting with pride.

Caring about personal appearance comes later, especially for the lucky ones who have been allowed to remain little girls for an appropriate length of time. Congrats to you for raising such a delightful, articulate and thoughtful girl. There's time for flatirons and lip gloss later.

I wish I could see her in the play.

But still!!! ;-)

So wonderful for her.

I wish I could go see the play. Alas, the wee baby and I cannot be parted for that long. Drat. But I'm sure she'll be in more productions when I can get away.

I agree with Zenmomma. She was great.

I'm sorry: she has the glasses and the little sweater, and the hair is totally rocking with the whole look.

Have you tried giving the kids a can of shaving cream and telling them that, when in the tub, they can coat anything they can touch with the stuff?

I think she's adorable!

Very articulate. I have to admit the ?pony tail? that stuck out at an angle was odd. However, she is very pretty and has beautiful skin. I am sure you are very proud. Think about it...what did you look like at 10 and could you have been so calm on tv? I couldn't.

She's such a pro! I can see why you're so proud of her.

Aw hush. I know you are terribly proud.

She's fantastic! Watching the video of the play is hard though - are they actually hitting each other? You mentioned bruises...
