On to Obama - he is inspiring to me. I watched Gandhi (the 1980s movie) last night instead of watching the Super Bowl. Husband out of town. And I was SO struck by the struggle between religious groups in India after the British left. Gandhi said something like: "There is no Buddhist India. There is no Muslim India. There is just India!" Surely that's where Barack got "There is no red America. There is no blue America. There is only the United States of America." Obama must be studying Gandhi! YES!
Nobody probably wants to say/think this because McCain suffered so much when he was a prisoner of war, but I just think his head is still in that war and we "lost" that war and he doesn't want to lose this "war" (occupation).

Here's the craziest thing about his quote: ending this war is not about surrender. Unless that surrender involves insane hubris to common sense.
