Ski Trip

I hate nature.

Give me a coffee shop and high heels, period. Of course, I want clean air to breath (I'm a Green girl) but let it be urban. I mean, I have seen one deer. Is there really a need to see another? And hiking? Where are we actually headed?

So I'm off for an overnight ski trip. In actual snow. Like outside all day.

Mostly, the kids will be skiing (I hope) and I shall be safely inside with various beverages and books!

I've never been winter camping, so this Green Girl is tipping her hat to you and your COURAGE!

We would be great hiking partners. About four minutes in, I'm ready to turn around and drive to the nearest Starbucks. Nature Shmature. I hope you get to enjoy the lodge and a couple of Irish coffees.

Hope you stay warm and cosy - but get just a little bit of that brisk fresh air!
(I laughed at your question about hiking! So true.)

Safely inside with beverages and books - that is the only way I would do a ski trip. I LOVE nature - it's so nice there outside the window...

To me...skiing = cold, wet, tired, hungry.

Give me the beverages and books anytime!

Hey, I heard you just turned 45 and I 'collect' baby boomers' blogs. Wanna trade links?

Beverages and books? Sounds like a good trip to me! I hope the kids stay out for long, long periods of time!

It was all good girls. The children skied and nary a matronly toe touched snow or ice. My friend hired a ski instructor and we had coffee in town while the powder flew. Perfect! And, it was a jungle here in Minnesota, nearly 40 degrees.

I'm safely inside my own house now with all the gadgets and comforts. Whew.

Oh, I frequently feel like this. What am I doing here, a city girl in VT?
