The Next Generation

Hey friends,

As someone not unfamiliar with shameless self-promotion that extends to her children, check out the diva's blog

And -- Happy Thanksgiving to all. The Matron tends toward the yearning and unrealized side of life, but is going to give the happy warm grateful thing a go today.

But she hopes everyone who visits here is surrounded by love and warmth today. And too much food.

Tomorrow it's all about shopping so enjoy the respite. Okay, there's that cynic rising again.

No, no, tomorrow is Don't Buy Anything Day. I'm pretty sure there is a website for it somewhere. Srsly.

I'm not buying a thing tomorrow. Well, at least I'm not going shopping in person.

May the dogs let you eat Thanksgiving Dinner in peace and harmony!

I'm Canadian so your Thanksgiving sales blitz means little to me! Hope your tummy is full and all surrounded by love! Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm feeling the embarrassment of riches, the overabundance of food today; gratitude for the family who come to visit, the youngest member turning 1 year old next weekend, as well; and knowing that I could shop tomorrow if I wanted to because I have a regular paycheck. I don't choose to fight the crowds, but I do have a choice.

Scarlett's blog is FABULOUS!!! Chip off the old block and then some!

I'm not buying anything tomorrow (except maybe a ticket to Harry Potter).

Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for an interesting blog from Minnesota, where I lived a great part of my life.

Lots of food and company - exactly as Thanksgiving should be!

Oh, I just read your daughter's blog. I meant to write to you and suggest that theater program in NY! I'm so glad that she gets to go!
