Sarah Palin Reads Even More Than the Matron

Why, perhaps our intrepid potential President is even reading the Matronly blog, which would fall into that category of Everything.

(And is Katie Couric trying not to burst out laughing?)

Lord, I know. I didn't give the woman enough credit. I don't want to pay for a subscription to The Economist, so now I'm hoping Palin will throw me her cast-offs. Or an Us Weekly would be fine.

Seriously though, my interpretation of that moment was that Palin did not even comprehend the question--like it is not part of her mental framework that newspapers and magazines could "inform [her] worldview." Very revealing, that. So she answered KC as though she had asked something does she read journalists who write about her. Or something.

It is like Dubya, redux. Remember when he said he'd read that 800 page bio of Kissinger? Or Rasputin? I can't remember.

Mmm hmmm, she's always reading, um, whatever, um, is in front of her.

I love Katie Couric for asking the "tough" questions.

Yes, yes, she reads ALL of them (newspapers and magazines). Don't you wish you had that kind of time? And you're not even running a state.

I think she meant cereal boxes. The the back of the shampoo bottle.

She reads? That is, when she's not objecting to books on the shelf that she has 'no time to read'? Ack. Add "read" to the Sarah Palin bingo card.

I was shocked when I saw it. I mean doesn't everyone know the name of at least Time or Newsweek? Apparently not.

Ha! Poor thing, I'm starting to feel bad for her now. But she could do way worse than reading your blog, Matron.

Couric was thinking, "Good answer, Sarah. For MY career, anyway."

I'm not sure I've ever seen an interviewer ask such a stupid question, and then somebody do such a terrible job of lobbing the ball back. It was a terrible interview from both Couric and Palin.

Katie Couric looks so SO uncomfortable! Oh my. Yes, I interpreted this to mean that Sarah Palin reads your blog, Matron, so she can stay informed. Good grief.

p.s. Happy news about yesterday's generous mother! How cool!

Katie looks like she is in pain...

If she does read this blog - she doesn't get it. The material is far too intelligent:)
