107

Is the Matron's NEW favorite number!

Because although her readership varies -- sometimes soaring toward that 200 mark and on the weekends, diving near 90 -- every week day, the lowest number for awhile has been 107. Not 108 or 9 or 110.

She likes to think some law of averages is not at work, or that one day Jenn at Juggling Life forgets to read but that day, Mamabird pops over. No, she's not thinking like that.

She imagines those same 107 every, single, day.

The Matron writes for readers. She's not the sort that gets pleasure in the act for the sake of the act itself, all that very mentally healthy process blather.

She's in it for the attention!

So faithful, thanks for showering her with some. One day, she will have time to pimp her blog but for now, this corner makes her happy.

You didn't mention me because you know I read you every single day. I would never take a day off like that flighty mamabird or fair weather jenn.

One oh ten would just be showing off. One of seven is absolutely right.

I am one of the 107. I don't always comment, but I am always here, all the way from the Netherlands.

That is great--definitely a nice-sized coterie.

I only found you a few months ago, but I'm happy to be in the company of 106 other discriminating readers!

It sure is satisfying to have people want to hear what you have to say. I'd say 107 is damn good. And you're right; Jenn is here ever day!

I've only found you recently and am catching up with your blog now. I hope you have many more than 107 regular readers now! It's quite strange to be reading the 2008 entries and remembering that surreal election... so scary and so wonderful in the end. (Still, I'm pretty far left myself and have been disappointed with our progress under Obama. Nevertheless, I'll be campaigning hard for him soon, because ... holy cow.. look who may be on the Republican ticket!) Anyway, I have loved learning about your marvelous children (Stryker -- what a great kid!), and Minnesota, and being a (perfectly reasonable) stage mom.
