Today, the Matron took her children to
Ax Man, a surplus store full of oddity and hardware. Merrick fell in LOVE. Must have. Dirt cheap. Has worn constantly -- this:

A gas mask.
And tonight? Merrick has informed the family that he will be cuddling up with this hardware at bedtime, sorta like a stuffed bunny.
Oy, that is so spooky looking.
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense to me, but then I have boys.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that! Brilliant! So happy your son found it first:)
ReplyDeleteUmmmm. Well now. I guess he is being prepared.
ReplyDeleteWell, now at least one of you is ready for the Rapture.
ReplyDeleteSome people just buy extra batteries and some canned goods. But I like his way, too.
ReplyDeleteOH. THE. AX. MAN.
ReplyDeleteYou keep making me want to hop in my car and drive south for a few hours.
I'd have to bring along my lad, of course, as he needs to play with Merrick--and get his own gas mask.
Fun! I wish we had a store like that.
ReplyDeleteHuh. I can honestly say I've never heard that before!
ReplyDeleteyou know, you never fail to surprise me.
ReplyDeletehee hee
Funny and a bit disturbing...
ReplyDelete(And maybe snuggly?)
Feed him beans for supper. It'll come in handy by bedtime.
ReplyDeleteIs he trying to tell you something? ;-)
ReplyDeletehahahahahah. Can I borrow it for Hallowee? I think it would go well with a pink tutu.
ReplyDeleteGotta love a warm fuzzy gas mask!
ReplyDeleteWe are inundated with musket, swords and pistols...Pirate-y stuff. I like that...defensive weaponry is good.
Pax, EJT
Just wait. He'll start stockpiling canned goods and batteries next week.
ReplyDeleteThe boy's gotta be prepared....
ReplyDeleteNow, I could use that tonight. In defense against husband O'Toot'O.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that. He completely rocks, and so do you.
ReplyDeleteIt'll certainly scare away any bad dreams.
ReplyDeleteOnce while I rummaged around Ax-Man Surplus, an old man pinched my rear end and offered to buy me a cheeseburger at McDonald's. You can find anything at Ax-Man.
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE this store! My youngest, Brenna, could spend days in that place.
ReplyDeleteWe should meet there, let the kids go wild and sneak off to have coffee!!
